Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States
Be at least 18 years of age
Received a high school diploma or its equivalent
10 month commitment to the program
Able to commit to serving 1,700 hours over the course of 10 months
Must pass criminal history background check
Member Duties: Public Allies AmeriCorps Members build the capacity of nonprofit organizations and public agencies through service activities related to four capacity building areas: developing new or improved programs; conducting outreach and expanding service delivery; training staff to update and maintain knowledge management systems or technology; and establishing or enhancing a volunteer program.

Detroit Public Schools, Detroit Phoenix Center, Oakland Hope, Focus Hope, Brilliant Detroit, Siena Literacy Center, Teen Hype, Michigan Science Center, and many more.
You will receive a bi-weekly stipend, qualify for loan forbearance, and you’ll receive an education award at the end of your year.
