The United Way for Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) is seeking a Vice President of Major Gifts and Donor Relations to develop and implement a best-in-class major and planned giving program. This position will be responsible for managing the Donor Relations department, including personnel hiring and managing personnel, oversight of portfolios, setting and tracking of key progress indications, and direct prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship of high-net-worth donors in partnership with the President and Chief Executive Officer, and other executive leaders.
Qualified candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, public relations, or a related field
- Professional certification in fundraising or planned giving is preferred
- 10+ years of fundraising and management experience with philanthropic, human services, or government entities
- 5+ years of major gifts, corporate, or foundation fundraising experience required
