POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Service & Policy Specialist is to ensure that recipients of mental health services have their rights to service delivery protected as defined in the Michigan Mental Health Code, DCH Administrative Rules and Office of Recipient Rights. Additional duties include conducting internal audits of compliance indicators and preparing reports for submission to external stakeholders. The Customer Service & Policy Specialist shall not have any direct clinical service responsibility and has a direct line of reporting to the Executive Director of SWCS for sensitive information.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Work or a related field or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience in administration, at least three of which must be in the non-profit sector
- Two years of mental health or related experience in human relations, customer service or contract management
- Thorough understanding of the MH system, and mental health programs and services
- Fluency in Spanish helpful but not required
COMPENSATION:
$43,500 – $50,000 (Full-Time/Non-Union)
