Atlantic Impact is a Detroit-based nonprofit social enterprise that combines local career exposure and immersive global travel to boost students’ academic, economic, and professional mobility. Atlantic Impact operates the Our Town Training School, which is a state licensed and currently provides skilled trades training, exposure, and career opportunities to Detroit residents over the age of 16. Atlantic Impact aims to grow our workforce development programs by increasing resources and funding streams to more comprehensively support and expand the school.
A major part of this role is to secure grants and other financial support from governmental agencies on the local, state and federal levels, primarily in workforce development. A solid track record in securing funding from corporations and foundations is crucial. Over time, the successful candidate will help us build our annual and major gift portfolios.
