The mission of the Automotive Hall of Fame is to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals in the international motor vehicle industry through awards and educational programs that challenge young and old alike to higher levels of personal achievement.

The Data Management Specialist is a full-time, permanent position. This role will be an important member of the operations team that assesses the current state of the organization’s data and helps build a stronger structure for analysis and reporting. A crucial focus of the effort will be to support the needs of the development and marketing teams. This person will support data collection, verification of its accuracy, entry into the database(s), analysis, and reporting.

We’re seeking a strong, highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical thinker who is also a self-starter. Reporting to the VP, Operations and Programs, a key first step will be to work with the VP to assess the current state of the data and ensure that it is well structured and accessible. This will include a thorough review of our current database tool, DonorPerfect, with respect to its functionality and capabilities. Additional tools / solutions may be evaluated as a component of this effort. In addition, this person will lead data collection and validation efforts and enter the data into our database(s). This work will focus on data tied to our development and marketing activities and may expand over time. This person will also be responsible for working with the VP to analyze the data and produce quantitative reports for review by the Board of Directors, President, and department leads.

The Data Management Specialist’s responsibilities include:

  • Independently managing data collection.
  • Ensuring the quality and veracity of collected data.
  • Supporting assessment of databases, data management tools, and analytic tools.
  • Entering data related to all aspects of development and marketing, in the appropriate database/tool.
  • Producing data analysis reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis – depending on the nature of the report.
  • Producing ad hoc reports if needed for the President and for Board and Committee meetings.
  • Developing and implementing ways to track and monitor changes and trends in the data.
  • May include collaborating with the financial team for key deliverables such as the annual report.
  • Adhering to the highest levels of privacy management to protect the personal information of donors.

 

Preferred Training and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business information systems or a related field is preferred. An associate’s degree in a relevant field with several years’ experience will be considered.
  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience with data management / database tools / CRM tools is desired.
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be highly organized, pay close attention to detail, and have strong analytic skills.
  • Programming skills are not expected to be necessary but would be a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

 

Term: Full-time, salaried

Salary: $40,000 – $50,000

Conditions: In-person position, virtual flexibility available. May require some travel, on occasion, for conferences.
