The Midnight Golf Program Program (MGP) is dedicated to equipping determined young adults through life skills training, proactive coaching, long-term mentoring and the discipline of golf in order to succeed in college, in their careers and beyond.

Our work in the fund development ensures that the young people we serve have all of the resources they need to be successful as they transition from high school to college and from college into the workplace. MGP is seeking a full-time Fund Development Coordinator to assist in creating and executing the systems for donor marketing, events,  and administration, for the Fund Development Department. This role reports directly to the Fund Development Director.

Job Type: Full-Time. Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM with the ability to work evenings and weekend events. A mutually agreed upon hybrid in-office/remote option is available.

Salary and Benefits: $45,000-$50,000, based on experience.  All full-time employees are eligible to receive employer sponsored life insurance, healthcare and phone stipends, and professional development opportunities.

Marketing and Communications

  • Strategic engagement and stewardship of existing individual donors and prospects
    through engagement plans and physical and digital content.
  • Cultivate new and existing donors by managing multiple outreach channels, including
    social media, newsletters, surveys, Impact Report and others.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop and design personalized
    stewardship and collateral materials


  • Coordinate and implement activities related to Agency fundraising and engagement events
  • Collaborate with committee members and others to make event decisions and execute event activities including but not limited to the maintenance of committee rosters, organization and facilitation of meetings, taking minutes and communications between meetings.
  • Using an event production lens, ensure event attendees have a positive experience and that the agency is represented exceptionally.
  • Assist in managing auxiliary fundraising efforts, such as auctions, raffles, etc. This includes securing items, signage and process for registration/sales.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing staff to develop all marketing pieces and PR for events, including sponsorships, invitations, e-blasts, traditional and social media outreach as well as coordinate the photography and production of video presentations where appropriate.
  • Be the point of contact with all event vendors and oversee contracts for all venues, food and beverage, and other related vendors.


  • Financial and in-kind gift processing and tracking, in collaboration with the fund development and accounting teams
  • Maintain our GiftWorks database, including donor profiles and survey details
  • Prepare GiftWorks reports and track outcomes against annual budget goals
  • Identify new opportunities for donor engagement and stewardship to broaden and grow MGP’s donor base
  • Collaborate with team to cover event needs and engage donors


  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in a fund development, project coordination management, events, marketing or other relevant experience
  • Self-motivated professional with a proven record of success
  • Skillful interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences
  • Top notch work ethic, with confidence, initiative and enthusiasm

Great to have:

  • Prior experience with Detroit’s youth development, after-school programs, or educational environments
