Since 2005, Read Muskegon has been working with community partners across Muskegon County to offer pioneering literacy programs delivered to people where they live, work, and access support in the community. By doing so, Read Muskegon is building healthier families, more productive workplaces, and stronger communities. Primary focus areas include: Family Literacy, Workforce Development, English as a Second Language and Incarceration/Re-Entry. Read Muskegon’s menu of services includes 1:1 tutoring; drop-in literacy labs; family programs that offer two-generation solutions; literacy programs for incarcerated adults; literacy instruction to improve the skills of job seekers; and the Read Muskegon Literacy Collaborative (RMLC).
