About Kadima

Inspired by Jewish values and established in 1984, Kadima has a mission to provide comprehensive residential, therapeutic and social services to people with mental health needs as they move forward in their lives. Fifty percent of the people served by Kadima have a thought disorder, such as schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The other half have a mood regulation condition, such as anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder. Most have dual diagnoses, including personality disorder or substance abuse.

Along with direct service to individuals with severe, persistent mental illness, Kadima also provides outreach and education to the broader community, including medical and nursing students, families of people with mental illness, and community members.

Current direct service programs include Supportive Housing, from 24-hour care to independent living; Integrated Care, offering coordinated medical care, screening for illness, and medical advocacy; Enrichment Programs; and Counseling Services.
